Horrible night!

Had I known how much pain I would be in after the surgery, I am not sure I would have gone through with the surgery.

My surgeon, I think, forgot to tell me about laxatives Рwhich made overnight and this morning pretty much hell (!!!). I had real difficult going to the toilet for bowel movements and the pain from the banding of the hemorrhoids and the removal of the two rectal fibroepithelial pylons. Prune juice and espresso coffee to the rescue. It was such a relief when I had bowel movement although scary as it was very bloody.

Bloody because the scars from the rectal fibroepithelial pylons haven’t healed yet. My surgeon / specialist consultant had warned me about that – apparently this can continue in ten days after surgery.

Horrible night!

Hello world!

Hello everyone,

I am starting this blog after going through hemorrhoid, or pile, procedure/surgery yesterday; about 24 hours ago. I have had a difficult night, which meant I googled loads of forums about hemorrhoids treatments and side effects etc. I didn’t find any step by step experience and thought it might help other people hence this blog. I plan to update over the next week or so to make this a reference (for what its worth) for other people going through the same in the future. I hope it helps.

Feel free to leave comments; I will try to answer where I can.
