Went to the gym this morning. All good. Read an article suggesting that any pressure you should channel to your core, to your torso, and avoid heavy lifting. I focused on chest with cable rows, back with reverse cable rows, and some arms with seated curls. As I said, all good.
Had I known how much pain I would be in after the surgery, I am not sure I would have gone through with the surgery.
My surgeon, I think, forgot to tell me about laxatives – which made overnight and this morning pretty much hell (!!!). I had real difficult going to the toilet for bowel movements and the pain from the banding of the hemorrhoids and the removal of the two rectal fibroepithelial pylons. Prune juice and espresso coffee to the rescue. It was such a relief when I had bowel movement although scary as it was very bloody.
Bloody because the scars from the rectal fibroepithelial pylons haven’t healed yet. My surgeon / specialist consultant had warned me about that – apparently this can continue in ten days after surgery.
