Tough night. I feel a sleep just fine but then woke up in a pool of sweat about an hour later really needing the toilet. Went but couldn’t really go but the stinging was bad – badly! I got back to sleep about an hour later. Slept ok, woke up now and I’m back on the pan, some volume but not a lot.
Its the third day after the procedure and almost 6pm. I feel much, much better now and I have a sneaky feeling that at least one of the hemorrhoids have fallen off. I say that after experiencing the stinging feeling earlier and because I feel so much better. Let’s hope it lasts. Still have the fullness feeling but probably since not all five hemorrhoids have left my body just yet…
Went for a 5km run. I was about 5% slower than my usual time as I took it easy; didn’t want to strain myself at all. No pain but felt weird, likely something where shouldn’t be there was in my bottom – exactly as is the case. No blood and no urge to quickly need the bathroom as I had feared. Will be back out tomorrow.
Feel like I am coming back to my normal self. Great!
I had a good night and got up at 5:30am as I needed to pass water; I needed to pee.
I got to the bathroom, sat down and it was clear that I needed more than peeing. It was difficult and accompanied by a stinging feeling. Not sure what is causing it, but being it is now three days since the procedure, I am hoping that it may be the hemorrhoids starting to fall off. I am not sure though. I take comfort in my state changing – thinking ‘no pain no gain’ but who knows.
The stinging was crazy and I was unable to have bowel movement, when it happened it was a low quantity and the stinging got worse. I went to the toilet three times for bowel movement over the next four hours and that’s after trying laxatives, having a double espresso, some prune juice and a full glass of Fybogel – trust me; I REALLY needed the toilet. The stinging has now somewhat subsided after I placed heat on my backside and also just rested in bed – I even managed to snooze a bit, which helped.
I feel better now and is actually about to go for a run. Last time I went running was Wednesday morning before the procedure – its now Saturday and I feel I am ready. Let’s see I might regret it. I don’t think so.
Its now been two days since my surgery. I went into surgery around 9am on Wed; its now Friday 8pm.
I feel a bit constipated tonight. I’ve taken a sachet of Fybogel and judging by previous experience it will soon start getting things moving. On that note, I have learned not to be too keen on bowel movements – there may not be anything there and this afternoon I ended up trying to go, but with very little to go. Don’t strain!
In summary, I feel good and its on the up. Hoping for an even greater day tomorrow, after a hopefully quiet and relaxing night.
OK, I made it to 2:45pm on the second day after my procedure/surgery. I’m feeling good.
I have had a couple of rushes to the toilet probably due to the laxatives meaning that things are ‘traveling thru the system’ faster than usual, and when I need to go; I REALLY need to go.
I have some strain in my bottom and I feel ‘full’ but not as much as I did before. I think my learning so far is to make sure I go when I feel go but not to strain. The relief when I empty my bowels is good and makes the straining less painful and irritating.
I keep taking ibuprofen and laxatives. Overall I feel really good.
Took 400mg ibuprofen, some overnight laxatives and a sleeping tablet last night and slept a full 7.5 hrs – that’s 25% more than I normally do. Feel great but my bottom is sore today and I had to rush to the toilet but didn’t yield much. I think some prune juice and a strong latte is the order. Let’s see if there is more to give; it feels like it.
